Spinx was founded in 1972 by Stewart Spinks. He took a leap of faith after working for Shell Oil Company and purchased his first gas station at the intersection of Laurens Road and E Washington Street in Greenville, SC. Over the years, the company has grown to incorporate convenience stores, car wash and the legendary Spinx fried chicken. Since the beginning, Stewart’s goal has always been to make customers lives easier.

We are committed to giving back to our communities. We welcome your sponsorship requests for opportunities that make our communities a better place to live and work. All sponsorship requests are reviewed by Spinx and the Spinks Family Foundation to determine the best fit. We review all requests on a monthly basis and typically make a decision within 60 days of submission.

Located in the heart of downtown Greenville, SC, the Spinx Market is an elevated convenience experience offering fresh, artisanal food as well as quick, grab and go items. With something for everyone, the Spinx Market strives to be your neighborhood nook for all of life’s necessities.
